Licenses and third-party notices

Pine source and documentation are released under the MIT license, copyright © 2026 KbeniM. The full terms are in the package license and documentation license. Keep the copyright and permission notice when redistributing covered material. The license includes an “as is” warranty disclaimer; this does not override rights that applicable law makes mandatory.

Third-party files retain their own licenses:

  • The bundled Liberation Sans font uses the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Its full notice is in Runtime/Resources/Pine/Fonts/OFL.txt in the package.
  • Bundled resources derived from Unity uGUI/TextMeshPro use the Unity Companion License for Unity-dependent projects. See the Unity resource notice and Unity Companion License.
  • Unity uGUI, TextMeshPro and Input System dependencies are governed by their respective package terms.
  • Docusaurus, React, local search and other documentation dependencies retain their respective license notices in the distributed assets.
